Funding
The Optimum Gap Year requires that each volunteer raises £3,750.
Volunteers
receive an allowance of £150 per month, accommodation, expenses covered
and an excellent programme of training and support.
Don't Panic!
We have a generous God and many people who are unable to take this type
of opportunity to serve are only too pleased to support you. In
addition there are many ways to raise funds and the money is not
required all in one go.
Fundraising Ideas
- Do a sponsored anything - silence, bike ride, car wash, hair braiding . . .
- Use your imagination - the wackier the ideas the better
- Have a party and get friends to create the entertainment and then sell tickets
- Overcome that fear!!
- Be helpful - walk a dog, wash a car, paint a bedroom...
- Make it easy for people to give - check out online giving - www.justgiving.com

- Use local press
- Get started early
- Be organised
- Keep a record of what you've been given
- Keep in touch with your supporters
- Have fun!!
