Unfortunately we are not currently recruiting for the International track but do hope to again in the future. Below is information about International projects that we have run in the past.
Optimum in Sweden
This is an exciting opportunity for two young people from England to take part in a pioneering project working in Sweden alongside Swedish churches doing youth work and getting involved in community projects.
Read on to find out how God used two of the Swedish students who took up this opportunity in 2006:
I wanted to do something where I would feel that God was using me for a purpose and I would see other's lives changed for God. I have had this expectation fulfilled! Through the work at Mariefred some of the young people from totally un-churched backgrounds have become Christians and others have really changed and grown in their lives. Jacob Häggbladh
My greatest challenge this year was organizing a youth camp with Jacob from scratch. This was the first time a project of this nature had been attempted by this church and there were those in the church who were quite skeptical! However it was a fantastic camp, which helped to unite the group and move people along in their journey with God.

Local churches in Sweden starting new evangelistic projects will have
two youth, either English or Swedish, working alongside them for 10
months.

It is not necessary for you to learn Swedish, as a lot of people in
Sweden understand English, but of course it is a chance to do so, if you
wish!
You receive the full Optimum training package and will join the other Optimum Volunteers for three residential weeks back in England.
This is a partnership with the Optimum Gap Year programme within Viz-A-Viz Ministries and supervised by the Betel Education Centre in Stockholm, supported by the Swedish Baptist Union.
